Sumario:Measurements of inclusive and differential $\mathrm{Z}/\gamma^{*}$ production cross sections in $\mathrm{p}\mathrm{p}$ collisions at $\sqrt{s} =13~\mathrm{TeV}$ in the muon final state are presented. The data collected with the CMS detector at the LHC correspond to an integrated luminosity of $2.3~\mathrm{fb}^{-1}$. The measured total inclusive cross section times branching fraction is $\sigma(\mathrm{p}\mathrm{p} \to \mathrm{Z} X) \times \mathcal{B}(\mathrm{Z} \to \mu^+\mu^-) = 1870 \pm 2~(\mathrm{stat}) \pm 35~(\mathrm{syst}) \pm 51~(\mathrm{lumi})~\mathrm{pb}$ for the dimuon mass in the range of 60 to $120~\mathrm{GeV}$. The measured value agrees with next-to-next-to-leading-order QCD and next-to-leading cross section calculations. Distributions of the transverse momentum, the angular variable $\phi^{*}_\eta$, and the rapidity of muon pairs, and the transverse momentum of muons in dimuon events are measured. The data are corrected for detector effects and compared to simulations.
