description Report outlining progress by the Baby MIND collaboration since the October 2015 SPSC committee meeting. The Baby-MIND proposal was approved as NP05 with a clear recommendation to focus the project on the timely delivery of the magnetized downstream muon spectrometer for the Wagasci project. The measures taken to fullfill these recommendations are summarized. The status of the magnet design and procurement; of the detector modules, procurement of scintillator and module mechanics design; the status of the electronics and DAQ; and finally simulations and analysis are desctribed. The project schedule and milestones, the plans for test beam and the request for the use of the T9 test area are presented.
