Sumario: | This note summarises the electron efficiency measurements using the 2015 LHC pp collision data at 13 TeV centre-of-mass energy. The data, collected by the ATLAS detector, correspond to an integrated luminosity of 3.2 fb−1. The studies are focused on electron reconstruction, identification, trigger and isolation algorithms. The combination of these algorithms leads to a large variety of operating points for the electron measurement, with diverse signal efficiency versus background rejection performance. Samples of electron candidates with transverse energies above 7 GeV, in the central region of the detector defined by the pseudorapidity range |η| < 2.47 are selected using the tag-and-probe method for Z → ee and J/ψ → ee processes. The measurements performed on data are compared to the measurements done on Monte Carlo simulations in the same phase space. The deviations are expressed as data-to-MC ratios, which are provided for a variety of operating points, and used in the physics analyses in order to correct the Monte Carlo simulations. |
