description The results of a search for dark matter produced in association with a Higgs boson where the Higgs boson decays to two photons are presented. The analysis is based on the data collected in 2015 at a center-of-mass energy of 13 TeV in proton-proton collisions with the CMS detector at the LHC. A two-Higgs-doublet model is taken as the benchmark model. After the final selection, using a dataset of 2.3 fb$^{-1}$ of integrated luminosity, no significant evidence for dark matter particle production has been observed. For the benchmark model, limits on the cross section times branching ratio for dark matter production are placed at approximately 3 fb for the $Z^{\prime}$ mass range of 600 to 2500 GeV.
