Search for a high-mass resonance decaying into a dilepton final state in 13 fb$^{-1}$ of pp collisions at $\sqrt{s}=13~\mathrm{TeV}$

Sumario:A search for new narrow resonances in dielectron and dimuon spectra is performed using data obtained from 2016 proton-proton collisions at $13~\mathrm{TeV}$. The integrated luminosity corresponds to $12.4~\mathrm{fb}^{-1}$ and $13.0~\mathrm{fb}^{-1}$ for the dielectron and dimuon samples, respectively. No significant deviations from the standard model expectation are observed. Upper bounds are set on the masses of hypothetical particles that arise in new-physics scenarios.
