Sumario: | The TimePix detector is a largely passive detector deployed at point 8 on the Large Hadron Collider (LHC) ring. It is able to detect different kinds of radiation in real time. Energy deposits in the detector is registered as signal describing the spacial trajectories of passing particles. The signal data is analysed and classified in order to understand the types of particle interactions occurring and identify anomalous occurrences. Using topological features if trajectories described by the data and one or more related features of said topology, the data was categorized using an algorithm to an efficiency of 85%. |
