description The process of b-tagging relies on a combination of complementary algorithms in a multivariate approach designed to provide an effective discrimination against c- and light-flavour jets. The JetFitter algorithm is one of the three b-tagging algorithms aiming at reconstructing the full decay topology of a b-hadron. This report presents a brief analysis of the secondary vertices reconstruction performance of the JetFitter algorithm in simulated $pp$ collisions at the LHC running at $\sqrt{s} = 13$ TeV centre-of-mass energy. Comparisons with other algorithms, in particular SV, are also presented in order to underline the relative strengths and weaknesses of the JetFitter algorithm. Improvements in the rejection of undesired tracks are proposed for a future JetFitter optimisation.
