Sumario: | A search for direct production of top squark pairs is presented using data samples corresponding to integrated luminosities of 12.9 fb-1, collected at a centre-of-mass energy of 13 TeV with the CMS detector at the LHC. The search targets top squark (~t ) pair production in scenarios with mass difference Δm=m(~t )−m(~x 1 0) below the W-boson mass (where m(~x1 0) is the neutralino mass and m(~t ) is the top squark mass). So the final state products are low pT objects, using the Inclusive Vertix Finder (IVF) to search for the secondary vertices, reconstructed even in the absence of jets, helps us to identify the low pT b quarks from the top squark decays. The neutralino (~x1 0) is assumed to be the lightest supersymmetric particle (LSP). The signature includes an high transverse momentum jet associated with initial state radiation (ISR) in order to produce high missing transverse energy. |
