Sumario: | This report demonstrates the influence of noise in turn-by-turn data on the analysis of the coupling. Noise is shown to be an important source of errors on the determined coupling parameter $f_{1001}$ and using several new formulae, the necessity to introduce an errorbar based on the noise is shown. Examples for critical influence of noise on the results are octupole noise and measurements after coupling corrections with very small $C^-$. We propose an estimation of the errorbars on $f_{1001}$ and the coupling using the noise in the spectra between the resonance lines. The proposed concepts are validated using simulations and shown to make a big step towards the computation of $\sigma_{C^-}$. Subsequent steps to finish this development are summarized in the outlook. |
