Preliminary Physics Summary: Inclusive J/$\psi$ production at forward rapidity in p-Pb collisions at $\sqrt{s}_{\rm {NN}} = 8.16$ TeV

Sumario:The inclusive J/$\psi$ production has been studied in p-Pb interactions at the centre-of-mass energy per nucleon-nucleon collision $\sqrt{s_{\rm NN}}=8.16$ TeV, using the ALICE detector at the CERN LHC. The J/$\psi$ meson is detected, via its decay to a muon pair, in the centre-of-mass rapidity intervals $2.03<y<3.53$ and $-4.46<y<-2.96$, where the positive $y$ refers to the p-going direction and the negative $y$ to the Pb-going direction. The transverse momentum ($p_{\rm T}$) coverage is $p_{\rm T}<20$ GeV/$c$. In this writeup, we present preliminary results on the inclusive J/$\psi$ yields and on the nuclear modification $R_{\rm pPb}$, relative to the $y$ and $p_{\rm T}$ ranges defined above. The measured $R_{\rm pPb}$ values are compared to previous results obtained by ALICE in p-Pb collisions at $\sqrt{s_{\rm NN}}=5.02$ TeV and to available theory calculations.
