$Z$ boson production in Pb+Pb collisions at $\sqrt{s_{NN}}$=5.02 TeV with ATLAS detector at LHC.

The production of $Z$ bosons in the di-muon decay channel in Pb+Pb collisions at $\sqrt{s_{NN}}$=5.02 TeV is measured with the ATLAS detector. Data from the 2015 LHC run corresponding to a total integrated luminosity of 0.49 $\textrm{nb}^{−1}$ are used. $Z$ boson production is measured with respect...

Sumario:The production of $Z$ bosons in the di-muon decay channel in Pb+Pb collisions at $\sqrt{s_{NN}}$=5.02 TeV is measured with the ATLAS detector. Data from the 2015 LHC run corresponding to a total integrated luminosity of 0.49 $\textrm{nb}^{−1}$ are used. $Z$ boson production is measured with respect to rapidity and event centrality. The results of the measurements in Pb+Pb collisions are compared with previously measured $pp$ collisions at the same energy. The nuclear modification factor constructed using the Pb+Pb and $pp$ data is found to be consistent with unity for all measured intervals of Z boson rapidity and for all centralities.
