description A search for Higgs bosons decaying into di-muon paris has been performed using data corresponding to an integrated luminosity of 13.2 fb$^{−1}$ collected with the ATLAS detector in $pp$ collisions at $\sqrt{s}$ =13 TeV at the Large Hadron Collider. Upper limits are set on the Higgs boson production cross section times the branching ratio as a function of the Higgs boson mass. No excess over non-Higgs Standard Model (SM) background is observed. The observed (expected) upper limit is 4.4 (5.5) times the SM prediction at the 95% CL for the Higgs mass $m_{H}$ = 125.09 GeV. When the data from the LHC Run 1 and Run 2 are combined, the observed (expected) upper limit is 3.5 (4.3) for $m_{H}$ = 125.09 GeV.
