Sumario:This note presents the status of recent studies of modern Monte Carlo generator setups for the pair production of top quarks at the LHC. Samples at a center of mass energy of 13 TeV have been generated using MG5_aMC@NLO+Pythia8 at at next-to-leading order and Sherpa 2.2 at next-to-leading order precision in QCD. Results are compared to unfolded ATLAS data. The effects of varying relevant parameters are also presented for Sherpa 2.2.
