Charged Higgs boson searches with the ATLAS detector

Several theories beyond the Standard Model, like the 2HDM, predict the existence of high mass charged Higgs particles. Such charged Higgs, produced in association with a top quark or in VBF, are searched for in several decay channels, using about 36 fb$^{-1}$ of $pp$ collisions at 13 TeV.
