description The Higgs boson was predicted by the Standard Model of particle physics and jointly discovered by the CMS and ATLAS experiments at LHC, in 2012. Following its discovery, the property measurements of the Higgs boson and the search for additional resonances become important research goals. The Standard Model is not the complete theory and leaves many questions unanswered, therefore it is important to search for any evidence of new physics beyond the SM. This thesis will briefly introduce the theoretical motivation for the Higgs boson, the production and decay mechanisms of the Higgs boson, and the methods used for analysis of the Higgs boson properties. The spin-1 and spin-2 Higgs hypotheses are tested in H->ZZ->4l channel, using the data recorded by CMS in Run1 of LHC. The exotic spin models were excluded and the Higgs boson is shown to agree with the Standard Model prediction of spin-0. The search for high-mass Higgs-like resonance is performed in H->ZZ->4l and H->ZZ->2l2q channels, using data recorded by CMS in Run2 of LHC. No excess at high mass region is observed for spin-0 or spin-2 models, and the limits are set on production cross section of new potential resonances.
