Around half of this (all server-side Java code) is based on the Spring framework.</p> <p><em>Warning:</em> the speakers will assume that people attending the seminar are familiar with Java and Spring’s basic concepts.</p> <p><strong>Spring 5.0 and Spring Boot 2.0 updates</strong> (45 min)</p> <p>This talk will cover the big ticket items in the 5.0 release of Spring (including Kotlin support, @Nullable and JDK9) and provide an update on Spring Boot 2.0, which is scheduled for the end of the year.</p> <p><strong>Reactive Spring</strong> (1h)</p> <p>Spring Framework 5.0 has been released - and it now supports reactive applications in the Spring ecosystem.</p> <p>During this presentation, we'll talk about the reactive foundations of Spring Framework with the Reactor project and the reactive streams specification.</p> <p>We'll also use the new WebFlux reactive web framework to create reactive web apps using the annotation-based model (like Spring MVC) and also the new functional flavor.</p>
