Sumario: | A search for a right-handed heavy gauge boson $W$ in the context of the Left-Right symmetry model is presented. The search has been conducted using the Compact Muon Solenoid detector at the Large Hadron Collider with proton-proton collision data corresponding to an integrated luminosity of 35.9 $\text{fb}^{-1}$ at a center-of-mass energy of 13 TeV. The events selected are required to have two same flavor charged leptons ($e$ or $\mu$) and two jets. No excess above standard model expectation is seen in the invariant mass distribution of the two lepton, two jet system. Assuming identical couplings and decay branching fractions as the left-handed gauge boson, a $W_R$ boson with a mass less than 4.4 TeV is excluded at 95\% confidence level. |
