Reinterpretation of searches for supersymmetry in models with variable $R$-parity-violating coupling strength and long-lived $R$-hadrons

Sumario:A selection of ATLAS searches for supersymmetry (SUSY), optimized for $R$-parity-conserving and $R$-parity-violating (RPV) models, are reinterpreted in SUSY models with variable RPV-coupling strength. Depending on the coupling strength the lightest supersymmetric particle is stable at collider scales, is long-lived and decays away from the interaction point, or decays promptly. Limits are placed on simplified models of pair-produced gluinos decaying to final states enhanced or depleted with top quarks, and models of pair-produced top squarks. In a model of pair-produced gluinos decaying to final states enhanced with top quarks, a lower limit of 1.8 TeV on the gluino mass is set at 95% confidence level regardless of the RPV coupling value. Limits are set on models of gluino pair production decaying to light-flavor quarks, and models of top squark production. Limits are also placed on meta-stable gluinos decaying within the detector volume.
