Sumario:This document presents the performance of the CMS hadrons-plus-strips (HPS) algorithm, used to reconstruct $\tau$ leptons in their hadronic decays, evaluated with proton-proton collision data recorded in 2017 at $\sqrt{s}=13$ TeV. The measurements are performed for $\tau_{h}$ identification efficiency, and the probability of electrons or muons to be misidentified as hadronic $\tau$ decays.
