An Updated Global Optics Correction Scheme
Currently, the linear global correction scheme implemented in the OMC software uses responses to the available correctors, computed as difference quotients by MAD-X requiring appropriate step-size. In order to improve robustness and speed, analytic formulas have been implemented. Further, the correc...

description | Currently, the linear global correction scheme implemented in the OMC software uses responses to the available correctors, computed as difference quotients by MAD-X requiring appropriate step-size. In order to improve robustness and speed, analytic formulas have been implemented. Further, the correction process itself has been modified to improve accuracy by reiteration. In this note, the used analytic formulas are presented and the results of the corrections calculated by means of the new code are compared to the currently used response generation scheme. |
