description A new algorithm is proposed for the RPC Triggering at CMS in order to detect HSCP in the high η region for the following upgrade. Using suitable-chosen Δη and Δφ cuts for the trigger algorithm we were able to improve the efficiency compared to previous work. This work was done under the guidance of Maxime Gouzevitch and Junghwan Goh, members of CMS at CERN as part of the Summer Internship program in 2018.
