Sumario: | The production of jets and prompt isolated photons at hadron colliders provides a stringent test of perturbative QCD at the highest energies. The process can also be used to probe the proton structure. In this contribution, we present the latest results from the ATLAS collaboration for inclusive jets and dijets, measured at center of mass energies of 13 TeV. Moreover, we present two measurements of dijet correlations allowing to test the renormalization group equations and to extract the strong coupling constant. We also present precise measurements of the inclusive production of isolated prompt photons at a center of mass energy of 13 TeV, differential in both rapidity and the photon transverse momentum. This will be complemented by measurements of isolated photon pair and triphoton production at 8 TeV. The ATLAS collaboration has studied the dynamics of isolated-photon plus jet production and of the isolated photon+heavy flavour jets final states at a centre-of-mass energy respectevely of 13 TeV and 8 TeV, which will be presented and discussed. All results have been compared with state-of-the-art theory predictions at NLO and NNLO in pQCD, interfaced with different parton distribution functions. |
