Multipurpose HiRadMat Experiment

This experiment involves the irradiation of HiRadMat of several particle producing targets prototypes, with very different characteristics as they belong to different CERN projects. (i) nTOF for neutron production, (ii) PROTAD for antiproton production (ii) SiBlock for new particle absorbing materials.These targets are assembled, instrumented and cooled in different target modules and inserted in a large aluminum tank. Installation in the HiRadMat will take place during the second week of September
