Sumario:The beam emittance is a crucial parameter of an accelerator to evaluate the performance of the machine. This is in particular important for the HL-LHC upgrade. To compute the beam emittance, the beam profile has to be measured. This can be done with Wire Scanners, but the Wire Scanner setting has to be chosen carefully to obtain accurate results. Systematic measurements of the beam profile and intensity have been done with the Wire Scanner. An empirical formula, which could be used to to predict optimal operational conditions for the Wire Scanner, has been tested and optimal operational photomultiplier gain range has been proposed for the measured beams.
