Sumario: | We present the calo-tau algorithm, which is a dedicated high $ p_{T} $ (transverse momentum) tau reconstruction algorithm that primarily uses calorimeter hits instead of tracks. The performance of this algorithm is presented, along with a comparison with the standard HPS (Hadron Plus Strip) reconstruction algorithm.
This study is work in progress, and is an attempt to tune the reconstruction for high $ p_{T} $ taus. The calo-tau algorithm is not yet an official tau reconstruction algorithm for CMS. |
