Patatrack Heterogeneous Computing 2018 Demonstrator: Pixel Tracks

The Patatrack Team, during 2018, explored heterogeneous solutions within CMS using GPUs and CMSSW. In this Note we report on the progress made on porting the full workflow of Pixel Track reconstruction at HLT on GPUs. In particular, we will show results based on two new novel fit techniques that have been developed: the Riemann Fit and the Broken Line fit. We will also show a performance comparison, based on events processed per second, between the CPU workflow and the equivalent GPU one.
