Sumario:Exclusive $\rho(770)^{0}$ photoproduction is studied for the first time in ultra-peripheral pPb collisions at $\sqrt{s_{\rm{NN}}} = 5.02~\mathrm{TeV}$. The cross section, $\sigma (\gamma \mathrm{p} \rightarrow \rho(770)^{0} \rm{p})$, is measured for photon-proton centre-of-mass energies, $W_{\gamma \rm{p}}$, between $29$ and $213~\mathrm{GeV}$ with the CMS experiment. The results are compared to previous measurements and theoretical predictions. The measured cross section $\sigma (\gamma \mathrm{p} \rightarrow \rho(770)^{0}\rm{p})$ has a power-law energy dependence, consistent with electron-proton collision measurements performed at HERA.
