Sumario: | If SUSY is present at the TeV scale, the pair production of the super-symmetric partners of the quarks and the gluons is among the most favoured to be generated at the LHC. This work describes a search for squarks and gluinos in final states containing jets and missing transverse momentum, but no leptons, performed using 36.1 fb^{-1} of proton-proton collision data recorded by the ATLAS detector at \sqrt{s} = 13 TeV. No significant deviations between data and the Standard Model expectations have been found. Therefore, the analysis results are interpreted using various supersymmetric models. For previously investigated SUSY models, the exclusion limits were significantly improved. In addition, several other new models were investigated. A dedicated study on the improvement of the analysis sensitivity is performed as original contribution in scenarios where heavy gauge bosons coming from sparticles decays gain sufficient transverse momentum to be reconstructed as single jets. Jet reclustering techniques for the boson reconstruction are studied and implemented in the analysis. Other contributions to the analysis concerning the SUSY signals and their uncertainties are also included. |
