Sumario: | The vacuum chamber of the FCC-hh will have to cope with unprecedented levels of synchrotron radiation flux and power, dealing at the same time with tighter impedance and magnet aperture requirements. In this new collider the difficulty to maintain an ultra-high vacuum level, essential for a proper operation, increases then considerably compared with the previous collider, the LHC. In this document the beam induced vacuum effects, responsible of the pressure increase, are separately studied. The proposed mitigation measures, at the state of the art, are also discussed. Finally, a comparison of the simulated effects with the measurements taken with the beam screen prototype in the light source is also detailed. |
