description This bachelor thesis deals with the tuning of the readout chip "FE-I4B" used in the innermost layer of the Pixel detector. Two different readout systems, YARR (Yet Another Rapid Readout) and RCE (Reconfiggurable Cluster Element), are evaluated with regard to the FE-I4B tuning results. Three front-end chips of modules mounted on a production IBL stave are used for the tests. The tunings with both readout systems show comparable results. Both YARR and RCE reached good values for a target threshold of 3,000 electrons and a target ToT of 10 with an injected charge of 16,000 electrons, which is a parameter combination commonly used. RCE showed more stable results after tunings with very low target parameters, such as a threshold of 1,500 e− or a target ToT of 5. For these tunings, YARR occasionally returned threshold values more than 500 e− above the target value.
