description | An enormous progress has been achieved and the installation of all components and sub-systems has been practically completed. The closure of the cryostat Temporary Construction Opening (TCO) is then expected to happen at the end of April 2019. The charged particles beam-line was also commissioned in 2018. The collaboration is looking forward to the post-LS2 activities which were discussed at the SPSC of January 2019 on the basis of a common DUNE proposal for the two ProtoDUNEs. The collaboration is now eagerly awaiting for the filling of the detector and the start of its operation in summer 2019. |
