description | <!--HTML-->I discuss recent criticism related to controlled SUSY-breaking and the link with the Swampland program: I explain how anti-brane singularities have been a red herring and that supergravity by itself is sufficient to understand why. In particular this was not yet understood for anti-D6 branes. The role of brane polarisation is crucial in this regard. Loss of control over anti-branes potentially arises when there is a non-trivial interplay with moduli stabilisation and the literature on this problem is polarised as well. Finally I discuss the seemingly loosely related concept of weak gravity and cosmic censorship for which an analogy between scalar field polarisation with brane polarisation seems to suggest a potential analytic derivation of how cosmic censorship implies weak gravity. |
