Search for new resonances decaying to heavy-flavor quarks with the ATLAS detector at $\sqrt{s}=$13 TeV

Searches for new resonances whose decays contain top quarks and/or b-quarks cover a wide range of beyond the Standard Model (SM) physics. These searches offer great potential as well as significant challenges in reconstructing and identifying the decay products as well as modeling the SM background.
