Sumario: | With an expected increase of the data volume by two orders of magnitude, the Runs 3 and 4 simulation requirements in the ALICE software will notably increase. Fast simulation approaches are investigated to cope with the increased amount of data. An ideal place to integrate fast parametrized simulation is the ALICE simulation framework which is under development. The possibility of parametrising the shower development and secondary particle production in selected detector volumes in ALICE is studied. This report summarizes the first prototype of fast simulation treatment of the compensator module in ALICE. The work presented in this report establishes the basis of fast simulation implementation for further development by making the fast model more configurable and finally integrating it with the ALICE O$^2$ framework. |
