description We developed a workflow that applies the mandatory levels of Jet Energy Corrections (JEC) to simulated data obtained from the CERN Open Data Portal. The workflow is based on code from the CMS JetMETAnalysis package and is designed to estimate jet energy calibrations with different jet algorithms and using Monte Carlo truth information. It is verified that the transverse momenta (and therefore the energies) of the reconstructed jets are successfully corrected, yielding a jet response of (almost) 1 in different energy ranges.
