Sumario:Thermal characteristics of an experimental Biophysics Chamber (a device in which a sample of water ice kept at low temperature (83–170 K) and low-pressure ($1–5\cdot10^{-3} Pa$) conditions is implanted with a low current ion beam) are investigated. The thermodynamic properties of water at low temperature and low-pressure conditions are presented and thermodynamics processes of sublimation/de-sublimation are analyzed. The complex nuclear physics / thermodynamics processes of the influence of ionizing irradiation on the water ice change of state and ice structure are analyzed and water ice surface erosion is discussed. An injection system of the water vapor in the vacuum chamber is proposed, fluid flow analysis and numerical procedure is made and results are presented.
