description TwinEBIS is commissioning a time of flight diagnostics system for the identification of charged ions. Two reports have been written describing the preparation of this system. The first report details the electronic testing of the beam chopper and its response time. The second report describes the investigation of methane gas injection into the EBIS for the production of carbon 6+ ions. This includes a prediction of the ionisation process of methane, and simulation models of the pressure within the EBIS.
