Sumario:Large Hadron Collider is experiencing major upgrade during Long Shutdown 2. During that period the LHCb experiment will improve many detectors including Scintillating Fibre (SciFi) Tracker as part of the tracking system upgrade. Beside the Data Acquisition required for particle physics analysis there are services enabling proper and safe environment for that. The goal of this thesis is to explain the challenges during establishing and implementation of Detector Control System (DCS) for SciFi tracker. The design and layout of SciFi tracker will be briefly clarified. Explanation of DCS itself will be broaden by the communication methods between the systems and their final implementation in LHCb specific network and software. The software upgrade foresees the enhancement towards fast and understandable framework. It will bring new approaches to ease the user’s experience while using the control system. The thesis will point out the requirements needed during testing of the tracker parts. The separate research was established to study the commissioning needs along with the differences between hardware testing and commissioning. Furthermore the improvements of the needs will be brought to the attention. The latter will simplify the usage of created tools and their new features. Moreover the built system will be described to enable further development and including the created solutions in different detectors. Finally the thesis will focus on including DCS in a Supervisory Control And Data Acquisition (SCADA) system and therefore in general Experiment Control System (ECS) used in LHCb Control Area to operate the full experiment. New implementation and navigation will be shown through Finite State Machine (FSM) tree used as the control tool to operate the ECS.
