INSERTION REGION MAGNETS

Within the HL-LHC project, WP3 is the work package for the design and construction of the new insertion region (IR) magnets. The IR magnets are those close to the LHC collision points. Their function is to focus the beams of particles before they collide, in order to increase the rate of collisions.
