MASS SPECTROMETER OR RESIDUAL GAS ANALYSER
Even in extreme vacuum, at a pressure billions of times lower than atmospheric pressure, some gas molecules are still present. These molecules, which have their own footprint, are identified and quantified using a mass spectrometer or residual gas analyser.
