THE COMPASS EXPERIMENT
COMPASS (the «Common Muon and Proton Apparatus for Structure and Spectroscopy») is a 60-metre-long experiment at the M2 beam line of the Super Proton Synchrotron (SPS). It was set up between 1999 and 2001 and has been in operation since then, undergoing continuous improvements.
