Second, trains of 48 bunches were injected into the abort gap with successively increasing bunch intensity and dumped. No quenches of superconducting magnets were observed up to a bunch intensity of 1.25e11 protons. In the last part, single pilots were ramped to 6.5 TeV. The last dump caused the beam-induced quench of the MQY.4R6, the MB.A8R6 and the MQY.4L6 magnets. |
