description Many theories beyond the Standard Model predict new resonances which decay to jets. Such final states are of particular interest at the Large Hadron Collider (LHC) since new phenomena produced in parton collisions are likely to produce final states with (at least) two partons and probe the very highest masses at the LHC. Certain models have a sizeable branching fraction of b-quarks. The results reported here uses the proton-proton($pp$) collision data sample collected in 2015 - 2018 by the ATLAS detector at the LHC with a centre-of-mass energy of 13 TeV with a total integrated luminosity of 139 fb$^{-1}$.

The results reported here uses the proton-proton($pp$) collision data sample collected in 2015 - 2018 by the ATLAS detector at the LHC with a centre-of-mass energy of 13 TeV with a total integrated luminosity of 139 fb$^{-1}$.A search of new heavy resonances decaying into a pair of jets in $pp$ collisions with the ATLAS detector at LHC is reported. The dataset corresponds to an integrated luminosity of up to 139$^{-fb}$ collected between 2015 and 2018 at $\sqrt{s}$ = 13 TeV.  No evidence of significant excess of events above the smooth background shape is observed. Upper cross-section limits for several types of signal hypotheses are provided at 95% C.LATL-PHYS-PROC-2020-036oai:cds.cern.ch:27150792020-04-13
