This allows ALICE to study the production cross sections of (anti)nuclei with high precision as well as to measure the absorption process of produced (anti)nuclei in the detector material.

In this talk the most recent results of the ALICE collaboration on the production of (anti)deuteron and (anti)3He in pp and p-Pb collisions are shown. These measurements challenge the state-of-the-art theoretical calculations. These models are also used to estimate the Standard Model background in Dark Matter searches in balloon and satellite borne experiments.

Finally, an additional constraint to the predicted antideuteron flux in these experiments will come from the first precise measurement of the low energy antideuteron inelastic cross section with the ALICE detector material.
