description The CAS course on "Numerical Methods for Analysis, Design and Modelling of Particle Accelerators" is part of the so called topical CAS courses, which are intended to give during two weeks a deep understanding of simulation and modelling tools used for the design, construction and operation of accelerators. Theoretical lectures covered the fundamentals of modern algorithms and techniques as well as a review of the mathematical background and were complemented with practical Hands-On courses. The individual manuscripts are collected from the lecturers after the course and published as preprint individually on arXiv under the name of the authors. The proceedings are a compilation of all contributions and they are available for electronic download on the website of the Cern–Accelerator–School.
