Slides: The CERN web-based slides’ maker

<!--HTML--><p>In this thesis, I present a web-based software application for users to create presentation<br />slides. This project is built from scratch, using only open source libraries. Using this slide-maker, users can:</p> <p></p> <ul> <li>Add, edit, format and place text anywhere in a slide.</li> <li>Add, resize and position images in a slide.</li> <li>Select a CERN theme for their presentation, which can be changed at any time.</li> <li>Save their presentation as a &ldquo;.slides&rdquo; file.</li> <li>Upload their existing presentation (&ldquo;.slides&rdquo; file) to continue editing.</li> <li>Present their presentation from the web browser.</li> <li>Export a &ldquo;.slides&rdquo; presentation, to a PDF file.</li> </ul> <p></p> <p>More ideas and improvements are planned to come in the future, as the project remains<br />under active development. The app is already available for trial use from the CERN IT<br />department. The advantage of this app is that it is open source, vendor independent, free to<br />use and has unlimited prospects for further development.</p> <p></p>
