description After the discovery of a Higgs boson, the measurements of its properties are at the forefront of research. The determination of the associated production of a Higgs boson and a pair of top quarks is of particular importance as the ttH Yukawa coupling is large and can probe for physics beyond the Standard Model. The analysis is based on data taken by the ATLAS experiment recorded from 13 TeV proton-proton collisions. The ttH production was analysed in various final states. The focus of this presentation is on the fake rate determination in the final state with two light leptons of same electric charge and one hadronically decaying tau lepton.

The focus of this presentation is on the fake rate determination in the final state with two light leptons of same electric charge and one hadronically decaying tau lepton.A search for the associated production of a top-quark pair with the Higgs boson (t\bar{t}Ht t ˉ H) in multilepton final states is presented. The search is based on a dataset of proton-proton collisions at \sqrt{s} s = 13 TeV and an integrated luminosity of 80 fb^{-1} −1 recorded with the ATLAS detector at the CERN Large Hadron Collider. A synopsis of the final state with two same-charge light leptons (e or \muμ) and one hadronically-decaying \tauτ is described in more detail. Non-prompt light leptons background is estimated from simulation, with data-driven corrections and fake {\tau_{\rm had}}τ had backgrounds are estimated using data-driven techniques. An excess of events consistent with t\bar{t}Ht t ˉ H production, over the expected background from Standard Model processes, is found with an observed significance of 1.8 standard deviations, compared to an expectation of 3.1 standard deviations. Assuming Standard Model branching fractions, the best-fit value of the t\bar{t}Ht t ˉ H production cross section is {\sigma_{t\bar{t}H}} =294^{+182}_{-162}σ t t ˉ H =294 −162 +182 fb, which is consistent with the Standard Model prediction.ATL-PHYS-PROC-2020-089oai:cds.cern.ch:27433012020-11-02
