description Supersymmetry is a well-motivated theory for physics beyond the Standard Model of Particle Physics. It has the potential to solve the hierarchy problem, can lead to unification of the gauge couplings and can provide a candidate for dark matter. The radiative corrections to the Higgs mass caused by the top squark, the sypersymmetric partner of the top quark, are very high, which motivates a top-squark mass close to the electroweak scale. In this thesis, a search for the top squark in the fully hadronic final state is presented. Data taken by the ATLAS detector during proton-proton collisions at $\sqrt{s} = 13~\text{TeV}$ at the LHC were analysed. With an intergrated luminosity of 36.1 fb^-1, no significant excess above the Standard Model expectation was found. The results were interpreted as exclusion limits on the top-squark and neutralino mass. Furthermore, propositions for a future analysis of a larger data-set were made.
