CERN receives Innovator Award from Arthur C. Clarke Foundation

Director General, Fabiola Gianotti, receives on behalf of CERN, the Innovator's Award from the Arthur C Clarke Foundation. The ceremony took place during a live interactive video event "Unleash Imagination 2020, Clarke Conversation on Imagination: Crises and Renewal". The live event participants are Dr. Cady Coleman, Chemist, U.S. Astronaut, USAF Colonel, Retired (Moderator), Bill Draper, 2020 Lifetime Achievement Awardee, Venture Capitalist Trailblazer and Ted Chiang, 2020 Imagination in Service to Society Awardee, and multiple award-winning science fiction writer. The “Arthur C. Clarke Innovator’s Award” recognizes: Initiatives or new inventions that had recent impact on or hold particular promise for satellite communications and society and stand as distinguished examples of innovative thinking.
