Installation of the Muon Forward Tracker (MFT) and Fast Interaction Trigger (FIT) in the ALICE cavern
Two new detectors, constructed and tested during LS2, were installed inside the ALICE magnet. One is the Muon Forward Tracker (MFT) and the other is the Fast Interaction Trigger (FIT), which will have to deal with a much higher collision rate during the High Luminosity (HL-LHC) data runs.
